Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom is a super raw editor. These days almost all my editing is done in Lightroom, I hardly ever export to Photoshop. Editing a raw file is non destructive and you can make several different edits and save them all for future use. As well as it’s powerful editing tools it is also an excellent cataloguing tool, photos from years ago can be found easily and quickly.

To a new user it can look a bit daunting; fortunately I have been using it since the initial Beta versions and have learnt the tools bit by bit as improvements have been made and new functionality added. Don;t be afraid, take it a step at a time, follow the many tutorials that exist on the www and you too will surely come to realise iyt;s the best thing since sliced bread.

Here’s a quick example of what can be done; using only Lightroom (v 4.00).
